Lexington, Ohio – Dustin Dominguez continued his winning streak and gave fans at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course some exciting action this past Sunday. The HSBK rider dominated the July 20th races taking home both 1st place finishes in the AMA Pro SuperSport class despite shortened practice due to rain delays.

Race 1 saw lots of thrills as Dominguez battled through the first lap from his 3rd place starting position. “I got a decent start and charged hard to take the lead by lap 2,” Dustin said. “I was making a few mistakes early on in the race because we didn’t have much practice due to the rain. I did what changes I could do during the race, put my head down and tried to put a gap between myself and 2nd place,” Dominguez said after taking the win.

The young Texan-rider started Race 2 from pole position and rocketed to the front getting the holeshot. “I wanted to lead each lap just in case there was a red flag, making sure I would get the most points possible,” Dustin said. “2nd place was right behind me the entire race and I knew he would try to pass me on the last lap. I rode super aggressive to block any pass,” Dustin added. In one of the final corners 2nd place rider Hayden Gillim tried a pass up the inside to take the lead. “We bumped each other a little. I didn’t realize he ran off the track so I was still pushing hard all the way to the finish line,” said Dominguez.

“It is so great to see Dustin and the team’s hard work paying off and we are now in striking distance of winning the Championship,” commented HSBK Racing owner Bobby Shek. “The team work tirelessly and sacrifice a lot to run at the front. I am thankful for everyone’s support to make this happen.”

The clean sweep this past Sunday now makes three straight race wins for Dominguez who heads into the final round 2014 AMA Pro SuperSport Championship trailing 1st place by only 2-points. The series Championship will unfold at the New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, New Jersey on September 13th & 14th.
